Fall Festivals and Events in Raleigh, NC

Jump into the autumn season with a host of wonderful events in and around the Raleigh area. There are many wonderful cultural and community-oriented opportunities throughout the season, below is just a sampling of what is going on in our fine city!

Triangle Oktoberfest (Oct 4–5)

This celebration is centered around the world of beer from Cary’s Koka Booth Amphitheatre. Come and enjoy a pint of a German or local beer, have a brat or two, and enjoy the music and merriment!

Celebrate Fuquay-Varina (Oct 5)

This Fuquay-Varina celebration is chock full of live music and attractions, craft beer, food trucks, and so much more. You never know, you might see something amazing!

Fall Arts Fair (Oct 5)

Enjoy creators from the local art scene, from jewelers, potters, painters, fiber artists, and so much more.

Raleigh Foodie Fare (Oct 5)

On the first Sunday of every month, you can enjoy Raleigh Foodie Fare, a food truck rodeo at Raleigh Iron Works. There are art vendors, live music, and plenty of food trucks to try.

Wendell Harvest Festival (Oct 5)

Enjoy the local food and art vendors, live performances, and a parade! All in the heart of Wendell.

NC State Fair (Oct 17-27)

Nothing says “fall” quite like the NC State Fair. This fair brings together the very best of our great North State’s agriculture and pairs it with delicious fair food and exciting fair rides and attractions. On October 22, seniors aged 65+ will get free admission!

Diwali (Cary 10/12; Morrisville 10/19)

Cary and Morrisville will both have community Diwali celebrations. Known as the Festival of Lights, Diwali celebrates the idea that good always triumphs over evil. Both celebrations will involve fireworks, music, food, dancing, and much more.

NC Wine Festival (Oct 19)

Taste wines from wineries and breweries from across the state. This year’s festival will include live music from Chairmen of the Board and a Fleetwood Mac tribute band.

Clayton Harvest Festival (Oct 24-27)

Clayton’s massive harvest festival includes carnival rides, car and motorcycle shows, and a Latin American Festival, as well as the standard festival fare. You won’t want to miss this exciting festival!

HollyFest (Oct 26)

HollyFest is a tradition in Holly Springs and is filled with exciting opportunities to connect with local art, businesses, and food!

Walk to End Alzheimer’s (Nov 2)

This year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be in earlyNovember and take you through downtown Raleigh. Create a team and begin fundraising now!

Taste of China Festival (Nov 2)

Located in Cary, the Taste of China Festival celebrates the vibrant flavors of Chinese Cuisine. Take in cultural performances and exhibits while you explore new flavors!
